Configure Outlook Express to Filter Spam-marked Messages

  1. Create a folder and give it a name, for instance, "Spam".
  2. On the "Tools" menu, select "Message Rules" --> "Mail".

  3. On the "Message Rules" window, click "New".

  4. The "New Mail Rule" window appears. In this window you can define the "Conditions" for the rule as follows:

5. Check "Where the Subject line contains specific words" on item 1.

  6. Click the link on "contains specific words" on item 3 (image above) and type "*****SPAM*****" on the following window. Click the Add button.

  7. Check "Move it to the specified folder" on item 2 and click on the link "specified" on item 3.

  8. Select the folder "Spam" and click OK.

  9. The filter is defined. Click "OK" to enable filter.

  10. All the messages with the subject "*****SPAM*****" will automatically be received in this folder and you can double check later if all of them are actually spam and delete them.
