  Lab Assistants
In order to provide more computer usage support services to the institute, the Computer Service Centre has hired three laboratory assistants, recruited from Computer Studies Program, to take roster starting from September 1, 2003 to work in the computer laboratory at the central campus. These assistants will provide assistance in using the computing facilities and enforce the computer laboratory usage regulations. Teachers can also seek assistance from the laboratory assistants when facing problems in using the computing facilities in the HQ classrooms and multimedia laboratories.

Monday to Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

While working in the laboratory, the computer laboratory assistants are required to wear an identification badge with photo and official chop from the Computer Service Centre for identification.
(1) Laboratory assistants will not be able to support the administrative management information systems provided by the Computer Service Centre. Users should continue to contact or the corresponding MIS support staff for assistance for those systems.
(2) WebCT is the adopted online learning management system in the institute. The laboratory assistants will receive corresponding training in order to provide support to our teachers in using this system.

Due to manpower limitation, currently the laboratory assistants can only provide technical support to teachers, not for developing the whole courseware or data input for the teachers. The Computer Service Centre will organize courseware development workshops for teachers during the academic year. Please refer to Centre web site for announcement of such training arrangement.
